THE STORY SO FAR
Ken Newton owned and worked in Ken's Barber shop with the piercing studio situated upstairs. Whilst on a visit to Leeds, Ken met Kevin (Butch) Johnson, owner of Ultimate Skin and a valued friendship began.
Kevin helped Ken invaluably in developing his tattoo technique and thus Tufuga Zoo Custom Tattoo and Piercing was born on the 2nd October 2002. Shortly afterwards, Ken shut the barbershop and dedicated all his time to tattooing.
The shop is on the 1st floor at 10 Hibbert Street, Widnes, near Blockbuster and consists of two separate studios. One is dedicated to tattooing and the other is for piercing. This setup allows customers complete privacy if needed. We welcome all members of the public with the same enthusiasm. We are aware some folk may have difficulty with the stairs to our studio, but help is always on hand! We can arrange to work outside our normal working hours, which we call "closed shop" for added privacy. There is also a Piercing/Tattoo related shop-come waiting area where customers can browse magazines or shop til you drop!
